ONE OF THE GREATEST GIFTS TO HUMANS (pdf)

One of the greatest gifts to humans is the ability to concentrate.

To direct all of our thoughts and efforts toward one particular tasks or idea, at the exclusion of all others is an art.


A proven way
to perk up your concentration is to change gear or in other words change your thinking style, switch brainwave patterns. Once learnt you will use this skill over and over again.

Concentration is a valuable intelligence to nurture. It is through concentration that we are able to solve problems, make decisions, complete tasks and ultimately succeed in life and as a species.

To ‘try’ to concentrate demands all of your mental energy, even then your thoughts run in all directions so that while we ‘try’ to concentrate on our task our thoughts move to future events, past conversations and emotional issues.

These mind games are not helpful when our desire is for focus and attentiveness.

What to do…get rid of conflicting emotions, those thoughts that go through your head every time you need to concentrate.  Turn of the need to be attached to those thoughts and let them go. It’s a easy as dropping an item on the ground and never picking it up again.

What else can assist your concentration?

When important pieces of information drift across your thought processes and interrupt your concentration, write them down. They are then recorded as a future task. You can attend to them at a more appropriate time.

Take a break, this can be a few seconds or several minutes. 

Go to the ‘quiet’ place, have a glass of water, do some stretches.

Learn how to engage both hemispheres of your brain together – Theta Brainwave pattern, we teach this in our Mastery program.

Remember, when the two sides of the brain learn to function as one then our experience of reality is different.

It then becomes a natural course of action to being in the moment.

 

Concentration and ‘living in the present’ go hand in hand.

Stop trying to fit in - you were born to stand out

People who constantly try to ‘fit in’ lose their identity in a fantasy of limitation and desperate desire to have known approval.

Are you a puppet controlled by strings?

Who is pulling those strings?

Who wants you to fit their mould, their beliefs? Parents, family, community, tradition!

Is it time to leave behind the preoccupation of fitting in just to be accepted?

People crave acceptance, but to be accepted many find they have to ‘fit in’, that can be as difficult as having your feet hobbled.  Hobbled - to tie the legs of a horse loosely together with a rope or strap to prevent it from moving away....to put restrictions on somebody or something to slow or prevent progress.

Understand that certain rules and conditions in the workplace and community are for safety reasons – please remember to be responsible... now, back to our topic!

What if, the decision was made on your behalf well before the day of your birth, as to your role in life – to be perfect, to fit in, to serve...

What would it mean to you to become your authentic self!
Not something that someone else wants you to be – to be your own truth.

I spent my childhood as a foster child, my situation/expectation was to fit into the model that others wanted me to be. I couldn’t. Understand I didn’t righteously live to be rebellious but during my childhood I was my own person as often as I possibly could be – yes I stepped out of line/others expectations, and was severely punished...did that make me a better person? No I grew to resent authority but age is a wonderful thing sometimes, mostly I now respect authority.

I was my own self and had my authentic truth and knowing inside of me.
Instinctively from birth I understood the law of nature and have continued to walk my own story and truth.

Consider this, if we were all supposed to be the same, we would all look the same?
Same hair type, same colour, same fingerprints, same height, same sense of humour, same thinking style, same likes and dislikes!

No matter how hard anyone tries to take away your individuality, it will always be there.

Imagine the birds that migrate. They have their truth and knowing within, their driving force is to be intent, to be on purpose with their inner knowing.

You have a choice – you can choose self mastery. The artist Michael Angelo saw the angel in the rock and chipped away to reveal perfection, the world of artists recognised his masterpiece!

For Self Mastery - be awakened to your authentic self then have the courage to use the rightful tools to become that which you know is possible, your own truth.

Do you ever stop to consider your relationship with your-self. 

When you are having a little chat to you, how do you engage?                                  
When you wish you had done things differently how do you behave?

If you consider for a moment how you treat yourself, you may soon realize that you don’t treat your adversary as badly as you do yourself.  People are their own worst critic – and they listen to their internal critic like it speaks the truth.

Are you the saboteur in your life?
Do you destroy your own dreams?

We are living in a society where it seems it’s not okay to grow up. Character lines are read as wrinkles and from the common talk, multi media advertising and the many anti aging products, wrinkles are scorned. 

Constant anti aging bombardment tells us it is wrong to mature. The anti aging campaigners are being unkind – I want to tell you it is okay to mature.

STOP YOUR INTERNAL PAIN AND SUFFERING

It is time for us to grow up. Is it time for a new contract with your own self – promise to love, honor, humor and cherish yourself! It is time for us to invoke harmony and embrace bliss.

Give that internal part of you that’s been the critic a new perspective. Learn how to engage in yourself in a whole new light. Give yourself permission to take responsibility for your personal happiness and well-being.

LEARN HOW TO THINK AND SPEAK WITH PURPOSE

Considerate communication is the answer.
Being kind to yourself and others through the words you think and the words you speak will bring positive change to your life. Your life then becomes a mirror image of grace and kindness.

People who want to learn how to be rich study people who have done and continue to create wealth.

People who wish to change self limiting behavior patterns seek guidance from people who have gained Mastery in their own life. The key to change is in your choices.

Many people are
more than ready to learn how to defy gravity in their lives; not just in order to navigate a crisis or heal from an illness, but as an integral part of everyday life.

Imagine if you had the skills to conduct your life from a state whereby your body is relaxed and your mind clear. You have no negative tension or anxiety. Your heart feels open. You fully appreciate what is, and you get adequate rest and relaxation and take good care of yourself.

In reading the above you possibly have one of two ideas running through your mind!

 

a)    I wish!

b)    Your heart went to a loved one who you hope this was happening in their life right now. You wish they had the skills to free themselves from negative tension, anxiety, illness and dire situations.

You desire to make life easier for you or them, to be able to release their or your stress, bring understanding to a seemingly hopeless situation and ease emotional or physical pain.

The people attracted to our work recognize that change beckons them to embrace their inner consciousness, not with words alone, but through gaining a deeper understanding of life.


We know that in some situations it is difficult for you to get another to listen or understand that there are considerable ways to care for their-self and their situation; many are so deeply entrenched in their circumstances they cannot imagine there may be ways to re-focus, ways to release the pressure or that there may even be a solution.

Sometimes it is emotionally painful for you when you want to help and you don’t know where to start or you fear rejection.
 
Understand you can’t make others change, just as you can’t physically make them see, swallow or listen but you can be a conduit on their behalf, by energetically changing your vibrations, thought patterns or attitude you will be helping.

It is often difficult to understand why we may need to open our awareness or change our mind-set to assist another or indeed our self, but there are many instances when this change in energy has helped alter another’s attitude, actions and in some instances their life’s pattern.

Imagine if you had the skills to conduct your life from a state whereby your body is relaxed and your mind clear. You have no fear, no negative tension or anxiety. Your heart feels open. You appreciate all that is, and you come from a place of absolute love where you don’t give to get, from your heart you give to give - as a result life rewards you, and you receive more.

In these
times of change and challenge, many re-evaluate their lives.

Is the work you are doing truly serving you?   Are your priorities where you want them to be?

 

Is your life as meaningful as you would like?   Are your relationships rewarding?

 

Would you like to be spending more time with your family?


Are you aware of YOUR personal value?

 

Personal Value is the expression I use for Inner Strength, your Innate Essence or the Human Spirit that sustains you throughout your life.

Personal Value is about who you are and how you think and feel about your-self. How you act and behave is a direct reflection on your Personal Value.

People become addicted by their own pain, disappointment, lack of love... each day is a torturous experience where they drive their self to their own detriment of either attempting to over excel, be perfectly perfect or give-up because it’s all too hard.

Energies exhausted they succumb to burnout.

 

Early in my Behavioral Science career I had the great privilege of volunteering several hours a week to youth group work. This was good for my soul and proved later to be a valuable healing exercise in my own personal journey.

One group was Youth SWAP - Students With A Purpose (12 to 22 years olds) another the ‘I’m Special’ program a series of eight week courses presented to High School students (15 & 16 years of age) who were struggling with their place in society, family situations and their own self worth.

Every Youth SWAP student had an active role and responsibility to their group. Meeting every week and taking pride in their individual roles and weekly results. They learnt to respect each other’s capabilities and kindly encouraged each to take greater roles within their club – it was my privilege as a member of their steering committee to watch them discover and grow and go on to fill their place and responsibility in society.

Many of the students in the ‘I’m Special’ programs had an attitude of indifference. Their experience of the world was ‘hard core’ some relied on the school for their meals and basic existence.

 

My Life was deeply affected by the privilege of working with both groups. Their courage their search for priorities, to find what was important and what was trivial and to learn how to be kind to their-self and to others.

The sessions that had the greatest impact on their lives were the lessons on Self Respect.

You recognize Self Respect in the lives of those who know their Personal Value.
They radiant a quality of love, a peaceful presence, that relaxes and assures.

Often there are no words to explain Personal Value, instead you sense it when you think of the person with Inner Strength and when you are in their presence you feel it.

Your Personal Value is how YOU feel about Your-Self. It is not what someone else has said about you, it is how You feel about Your-Self.

Knowing your Personal Value and building your Inner Strength and will assist you to –

Prioritize what is important to you.
Have meaningful relationships.
Seek ongoing education and rewarding work.

Achieve your goals and objectives.
Make a positive contribution within your family and community.
Be inspired, creative and resourceful.

Have you ever looked at the moon through a telescope?
It’s awesome, depending on the strength of the telescope you can see so many details. All the things you thought were there but when you looked with the naked eye you couldn’t see.

This is true in our whole of life experience too.

When we shift our focus, even slightly, it will make a significant difference.

Beginning with our essential self, from the moment of conception certain values and expectations are instilled in us. These influences, impose beliefs that are not necessarily ours, they emerge from external (parents, teachers, society) sources not from the inner self.

Think about this.
If your beliefs and values from external sources have restricted your personal growth, limited future opportunities, clouded over your capabilities and influenced unhealthy behaviour you are imprisoned by your role model’s view of the world, beliefs and limitations.

If what you learnt by rote creates conflict with what you believe in your inner heart you will struggle with your own truth and knowingness of what you are truly capable of. You doubt your own wisdom.

The moment you realise the significance that limitation has in your life, from this moment forward take responsibility. 

Purposefully adjust your focus, and your life direction will change.
 
There is no blame!
In this short article I mentioned parents, teachers, society!
From their perspective ‘in the moment’ each acted or reacted with the capacities they had at that time.

The only reason to glance back is to benchmark your forward progress.
I’ve worked with thousands of people of all ages and varied walks of life and in reflection, without exception all wish they had done different.

Self responsibility. With the options for self education and personal change available, there is no reason for us not to shift focus –just a little bit, and ‘do better now’.

Ten years ago – at the end of the last decade, we sat on the end of the South Perth jetty in Western Australia watching the gaily array of people in top hats, crazy hats, fascinators, cocktail dress, footy shorts the scant and casual dress of the night all going places.

Some were travelling with purpose the majority seemed in a state of ‘being pushed by the throng’ perhaps more like being ‘shoved by the masses’.

 

It was a hot evening, people yelling over the voices of their group companions, several had music blaring from portable capsules not wanting to miss the midnight moment, people holding hands as they walked others avoiding intimacy, some moved as if the jetty were swaying!

 

David’s voice interrupted my observances  ‘where are they all going’?   I wondered too.

Many were drawn into the hustle of the night, remember... the Y2K bug...maybe there was no tomorrow, perhaps ‘memory’ would be lost forever. What would happen to our ‘keys to the future’ everything stored on the computers and in the so called backup systems.

 

It was the end of an era and the beginning of a new millennium.
That night...I closed many doors.

 

In closing doors I was aware we can lock in or shut out!  It was a thoughtful process.

Today, ten years later the decisions I made at that time has opened many new doors.

The 1990’s were emotionally and financially painful years for my little family, for me physically painful too – my body was injured in two motor vehicle accidents.
Deep gratitude to all who cared and fed me when I couldn’t raise a spoon or cup without spilling the contents!

That night on the South Perth jetty I made a decision – I would be strong again.

 

So much of my past was gone, I was a passionate ballroom dancer, I can’... my heart is filled with gratitude – every day I live my dream, helping people through times of change.
 

Ten years ago today, meditating on the jetty with the world of busyness around me I heard a tune that reminded me of the ‘gypsy tap’ dance.

Through the magic of that sound something inside happened, I felt my soul dance to the rhythm of the music – I decided to be crippled no longer, the power of the mind catapulted me into a decade of change.

When we let go of limitation healing happens.

 

Recipients of our then infrequent newsletter, former clients and friends began asking me to teach them the techniques I use to heal my body.
You can now learn these skills in our Mastery programs. Once learn you have these skills forever – remember, what helps you to make the
change and get better, these are the skills that will keep you better so you’d better learn quick - I was purposeful.

What I learnt while healing my body was how to get cell-to-cell communication happening within the body.
This is where true healing and transformation takes place.
You have to get past analytical thinking.  
As healing begins our natural intelligences are stimulated, the work within expands and our lives change permanently for the better.

Do you have a passion for the possible but have little idea if any, as to how to achieve it?

How you think, what you believe and the way you behave determines your living experience.


Your goal is to learn how to use more of your brain and activate the untapped areas of your mind while learning to think, believe and behave in ways that will attract more of what you want in your living experience.

By learning to effectively use the invisible, intangible parts of yourself, and by making simple, positive changes, you can live a powerful life of your own design.

An eighty-two year old gentleman sat in my office and lamented “I have more work to do but cannot achieve the ability to complete my life’s work. Something inside hinders me”.
In less than an hour we identified what hindered his progress. That was two years ago. Since then his health has improved his purpose clear, he made peace with estranged members of his family and his joy to live returned. 
He made peace with... I need you to understand, he did not contact them or write them letters.
The Domino Effect
.  At a cellular level (that’s where permanent change happens) he changed the grudges he was holding. What happened next was amazing, he received a birthday card from a family member he had not heard of for years. He got an invitation to another branch of the family, event. His son who hadn’t contacted him for eight years called...and more good things happened, his life has changed.

Free Yourself. Within you resides the secret that unlocks life's possibilities. To realize it, you have only to develop the natural mental ability of attraction we all possess. When you learn how to access your theta and delta brainwave energy you are able to solve problems of all kinds, regardless of where they are embedded in the past or continue to live in the present – if they are taking up valuable thinking time they are existing in the present.

Separated from my family at birth I discovered a way whereby I could access cellular memory. In you, this is where your blueprint of who you are, what you know, all your memories, everything you ever learnt is stored. This is where I discovered the basis of, and learnt to get rid of deep seated anger, frustration, feelings of deprivation – this systematic process allows you to evolve your untapped ESP.

A richer life is not just about achieving what you want, it is about achieving what is right for you, individually and uniquely. The human mind has abilities beyond the five senses, these abilities can be harnessed to help you make better choices and decisions. People who experience roadblocks are aiming for goals outside their life purpose. Where do thoughts begin?

 

Like a stone thrown into a pond, your thoughts and your words carry a chain reaction!

Question: Are your dominant thoughts enhancing or sabotaging your life?

 

When waiting in a line of vehicle traffic or at the supermarket check-out do you experience feelings of irritation (beta brain rhythm) or do you have a quiet place (alpha/theta brain state) where you relax while the congestion passes.

 

Most are accustomed to functioning in beta brain rhythm with negative gamma bursts.
Our challenge is to learn how to move from the beta state into a more relaxed state of alpha brain rhythm.
Why?
In the alpha and deeper theta brain state we put ourselves in an ideal condition to begin managing our moment to moment stress by connecting to the creative and quiet spaces within. According to neuroscientists, the alpha state produces a significant increase in the levels of beta-endorphin, nor adrenaline, and dopamine, which are linked to feelings of enhanced mental clarity.

 

Your cellular memory knows and remembers everything. What if, in the theta brain rhythm (seven to fourteen brainwave cycles per second) you have imprints of impulsiveness, irritation, intolerance – how can you change that pattern? You can change by learning how to reach into the quiet place, for some this is the ‘flow state’ the place where, scientists make stunning discoveries, business people make far-reaching decisions, to the place where athletes break world records, where human beings perform almost supernaturally! The space where you connect and become your absolute best! Your absolute best does not come from the 'try' brain-rhythm but from the creative space, the quiet place.

 

Deep in the delta cellular memory is our genetic blue-print the space where our possibilities are encapsulated waiting for release. You have heard of developing your total potential, you can!

Life isn’t about finding yourself life is about enriching your experience of living.

 

Think about this …

If your life is an expression of your thoughts, how often do you check your thoughts. What are you saying to yourself abou
t your day, your work, the situation you are in?  Are your thoughts consumed about tomorrow or what happened yesterday?

 

Right now bring yourself into this moment, listen to your breathing. Breathe deeper, slower, deeper and relax.

Think for a moment about your life. Recall five attitudes you are grateful for. Breathe deeper, slower and relax.

 

Do you use these attitudes when communicating with family, clients, the people you work with?

Do you use these attitudes when communicating with yourself – thoughtful, kindheartedness, respectful, considerate, gentle, well- mannered.

 

Your communication with your self is much deeper than your thoughts and words. Every moment within our body we have cell to cell communication. Your conscious thoughts are mirrored in your body as wellness or disease.

 

If at work your thoughts are immersed in an expectation that a certain team member is inconsiderate you are likely to be defensive when communicating with them, if you change your thinking and project them as considerate you will communicate with them differently.
